How long have you been with the Plymouth Concert Band?

Whenever Dave started conducting the band—1998

 

Where do you live?

Minnetonka, Minnesota

 

Where did you grow up/siblings?

I was born in Kentucky and lived most of my childhood in the state of Virginia, I have 5 brothers and 1 sister.

 

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I have 2 dogs that keep me busy, yoga, biking.

 

If you could do anything you wanted right now, what would it be?

Travel.

 

If money was no object, what would you do all day?

I have a job I love as a teacher. Obviously money is no object. Travel is still my number one thing to do. Oh, and eat.

 

What is the most memorable place you’ve traveled?

Verona, Italy for the opening of the opera season. It’s like the Oscars and Grammys rolled into one!

 

What does your perfect day look like?

Comfy shoes for a walk, a good book and a good meal shared with family and friends. 

 

What one thing would you change if you had to do it over?

Pursue a career as a studio musician.

 

If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to and why?

1498 The Italian Renaissance was at its peak and I would like to meet Leonardo Da Vinci over a nice glass of grappa.

 

What is the best advice you have received in life?

"One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words." Goethe

 

What is your favorite book/movie/song?

Book:  I like to read historical fiction and detective mysteries
Movie: "Wizard of Oz"-the flying monkeys get me every time

Song:  Whatever I am listening to at the moment.

 

What is your favorite color?

Turquoise.
